WoW: Caroline Koldus of Terra Agency
2021 May 201h 14m 59s
Today's episode features Mother of Media's very first Woman of the Week, Caroline Koldus. Caroline is not only a close friend but she is also an entrepreneur, adventurer, world traveler, and business owner. In this interview, Caroline talks about what drove her to create her very own marketing agency, Terra, and she shares stories from her solo trip around the world, including the time that she hiked Mt. Everest. Yes, you read that correctly. We also talk in-depth about the red flags to look out for in a corporate job and what to do if you find yourself working in a job that is severely affecting your mental health. This is a great episode if you are interested in travel, starting your own business, or if you are a young professional struggling to find happiness and fulfillment in your current job. Enjoy!
500 Days of Summer & Modern Dating
2021 May 141h 39m 1s
In today's episode, Katie and I break down the romantic comedy to end all romantic comedies, 500 Days of Summer. Not only is this film a deeply personal favorite of mine but the themes present in this film are so applicable to modern life, especially through the lens of dating and relationships. Katie and I break down the film's use of color, the soundtrack, the dialogue, and the iconic "expectations vs. reality" scene. We also spend a lot of time discussing our views on modern-day dating throughout the episode and how this film taught us many valuable lessons about dating and relationships. A special thank you to my friend Katie for coming on today's episode and special thanks to Zooey Deschanel for inspiring me to get bangs over 10 years ago.
Little Women (2019)
2021 Apr 281h 20m 32s
In today's episode, my dear friend Elizabeth and I break down Greta Gerwig's Little Women, which is one of the greatest films of all time. Change my mind. We take a deep dive into the adapted screenplay, the costumes, the score, the casting, the themes, and more. This episode also features a story about the time that I had a mullet in high school so it's a really great time.
